Introducing the Mega-Vessel Membrane System

The Mega-Vessel membrane system, developed by MegaVessels Inc., is a patented technology that can treat seawater, brackish water, and soft water. This system can produce drinking water that meets high-quality standards at significantly lower costs and energy consumption compared to traditional desalination systems.

Components

  • 25-inch Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Pressure Vessel.
  • 49 Standard 8-inch Membrane Elements.
  • Feed Water Inlet Ports.
  • Feed End Flow Distribution Plate.
  • 7 Flow Distribution Tubes.
  • Interconnector-trust Rings.
  • Brine (Concentrate) Outlet Ports.
  • Product Water Outlet.

The Advantages

  • Reduced membrane cleaning frequency.
  • Shorter RO System installation time.
  • Easier RO system fabrication, assembly and maintenance.
  • Flexibility to accommodate the emerging next generation of high-productivity nano-structured RO membrane elements with embedded nano-particles and to maximize the benefits of their enhanced performance.
  • Smaller footprint which equates to less concrete, rebar, roofing, HVAC, etc.
  • Reduces the number of fittings, piping and connections, improves membrane flux balancing which reduces membrane cleaning and therefore increases the life of the members

Lower Costs

  • 20 to 30% lower overall RO system capital costs.
  • 15 to 20% lower RO system O& M costs.
  • 10 to 30% lower RO system energy use/ higher fresh water productivity.
  • 20 to 35% smaller RO system site footprint.

Hany Said - Technical Director

Mega Vessels

A member of ASME and AMTA, Hany Said is one of the early pioneers in the desalination field and has over 40 years of experience in the water treatment and membrane technology business. He has held positions in all aspects of the water treatment field, including roles as CEO, President, Vice President, Director, Engineering Manager, R&D Engineer, and Field Service engineer.
During the last 40 years, Hany has set the record for the most reverse osmosis (RO) plants built with over 2.7 Million CMD RO plants worldwide. In addition, he successfully founded two major desalination companies, American Engineering services (AES) and Advanced Environmental Water Technologies (AEWT), and eventually sold them as both were recognized and successful players in the desalination market.
